I opened up his site while we were on the phone. Within 30 seconds, I spotted three massive red flags right on the homepage alone.
First, the headline said “Building Excellence for Over 30 Years.” That sounds nice, but it doesn’t tell a project manager what type of construction they specialize in.
Second, the main button at the top said “Explore Our Solutions.” Nobody wants to “explore solutions.” They want to request a bid or look at recent project photos.
Third, their contact form had nine different required fields, including asking for a project blueprint attachment before the buyer even spoke to a human being. They were asking for marriage on the first date.
We simplified the text, changed the button to “Get a Project Estimate,” and trimmed the contact form down to three simple fields. The site didn’t need new graphics—it just needed to stop getting in its own way.
